QuestionAs used in the text, “inspect” most nearly means:
The longer you play, the more you practice.
The SAT tests the same core skills in many different ways. A game keeps you at it long enough to see those patterns again and again.
Pick what to practice
Choose a subject and the lessons you want, or let your past answers choose the next questions.
Answer with the game’s moves
Read the question, then answer the way the game plays: land on your answer, or aim and fire at it. Correct answers earn what each game runs on: power-ups, new cannons, building supplies or cafe earnings.
A miss pauses the game so you can learn
Nothing moves while you read why. Then try again with the answers that remain, and get back to playing.

The sentence gives you a clue. “Once” and “now” signal a change. The birds used to be plentiful; now there are very few.

Hello, I’m
Tom Meli
SAT tutor and game maker
Ten years of SAT tutoring. Games built with my students.
I’ve helped students get into Harvard and other Ivy League schools, earn full scholarships, and reach their college goals. After ten years of tutoring, I know what it takes to learn the SAT skills that make a difference.
I build and playtest these games with my students. Their feedback and enjoyment guide how each game develops, from the challenges to the rewards.
Now I’m opening these games to everyone. I’d love for you to try them and tell me what you think.
Opening in 2027
